The current captain of the Indian national field hockey team, Manpreet Singh Pawar started playing for the Indian team in the year of 2011 when he was just 19 years old. He was the junior player of the year 2014 in Asia as well.

Parattu Raveendran Sreejesh aka P. R. Sreejesh is an Indian field hockey goalkeeper. He was selected in the senior team in 2008 for the South Asian Games tour in Colombo.

Kothajit Singh, also known as Kothajit Singh Khadangbam is one of the notable Indian field hockey players. He is representing the Indian national field hockey team since the 2010 London Olympics.

He was the only scorer against Pakistan in 2014 Asian Games to make it 1-1. Later India won this match by penalty shootout 4-2. Kothajit is known for his air-ball through pass skills.

In 2010 he plays for Ranchi side in Hockey India League (HIL). Later in 2013, Mandeep Singh has finally made a debut in the Indian national field hockey team.
